ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Intersectionality is a word I feel best describes me and my upbringing. I'm a daughter of two Cuban refugees who themselves grew up in America. My name is Carolina Ramos and intercultural understanding is something I learned from a very young age. Being raised in a westernized Cuban household and having been born and raised in Miami, I have been exposed to a multitude of different cultures and ethnic identities. While studying at Florida International University, my interests in other cultures and countries only peaked. Naturally, I then decided to pursue a major in International Relations which I paired with a certificate in National Security. Through my studies and an internship, I also discovered a newfound interest and appreciation for innovative technologies. I hope to apply the knowledge I've accumulated through the diverse classes I've taken in my undergraduate career and the experience I gained from my D.C. internship which focused on possible applications for emerging technologies in my future endeavors.
